Developers and AI assistants

BoardVault can be read by programs and AI assistants as well as people. Everything below returns what a visitor of the website can read — published threads, posts and repair cases, and the descriptions of public files — and nothing else. Files themselves are downloaded on the website, with a free account.

Read API

Base address: https://boardvault.ragoxcell.com/api/v1
Description: OpenAPI 3.1 — every endpoint, parameter and response shape.
No key needed to read. Anonymous callers get 60 requests a minute per address. A member's API key (Settings → API keys) raises that to 120, adds their own and shared documents, and is required for /me and for download links.
Language: send Accept-Language: es or en; addresses in the responses (url) follow it.
Errors are application/problem+json with a request_id.

MCP server for AI assistants

BoardVault runs a Model Context Protocol server at https://boardvault.ragoxcell.com/mcp (streamable HTTP, no sign-in). Its tools are read-only:

search — boards, files, threads, posts and cases
get_thread, get_post, get_repair_case, get_document, get_board — read one item by id or page address
list_recent — what is new (threads, posts, cases, files, forum categories)

Claude Code:

Claude (web and desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, with the address https://boardvault.ragoxcell.com/mcp.

Using what you read

Cite the page (url) and credit the member who wrote it; contributions belong to their authors.
Stay within the limits above. Bulk downloading of files is not allowed (terms of use).
Content is written by members and can be wrong; repairs carry risk.
